The NATIONAL BOARD OF FISHERIES promotes fisheries conservation, an efficient fishing industry and a well developed recreational fishing. The National Board of Fisheries is the central government authority working with fisheries conservation and fisheries in Sweden. The Board works for the responsible use of fish resources to facilitate the long-term development of sustainable professional and recreational fishing. The Board also aims to further biological diversity and abundant, diverse fish stocks. Other important tasks include contribute to improved opportunities for aviable fishing industry, increasing fishing possibilities for the public and promoting accessibility to high quality fish.
