Abstract [sv]
Som en del i Havs- och vattenmyndighetens kartläggning av havsbotten längs svenska kusten har bentiska ekosystemkomponenter och naturvärden karterats på översiktlig nivå i Bottniska viken. Karteringen utfördes med hjälp av rumslig modellering baserad dels på befintliga biologiska fältdata, dels på biologiska data från kompletterande undersökningar samt på heltäckande lager över fysiska, kemiska och antropogena variabler. Totalt skapades 17 heltäckande kartor över vegetation och epifauna, sju kartor över infauna samt en karta över sammanlagda bentiska naturvärden.
Abstract [en]
As a part of the mapping of the seafloor along the Swedish coasts performed by the Swedish Agency for Marine and Water Management, benthic ecosystem components and conservation values were mapped on a coarse level in the Gulf of Bothnia. The mapping was performed with spatial modelling based on both already existing biological data as well data from new surveys performed within this project and continuous layers of physical, chemical and anthropogenic variables. In total 17 continuous maps of vegetation and epifauna, seven maps of infauna and one map of total conservation values were created.
